"Alright. You Know The Drill."

"We neutralise the threat and bring out Carmack's team."

This 28mm scale model of a Corporate Security Force operative is produced by "Anvil Industry" and can be downloaded for free as part of their Corporate Security Security Force bundle of STL (Standard Triangle Language) files from the "Anvil Digital Forge" "Patreon" subscription service. Consisting of a multi-shelled male body standing to attention armed with a shotgun close to the chest, with standard Regiments neck joint and closed visors male helmeted head, the miniature was produced using "Elegoo" Water Washable Resin on a Mars 3 Pro 3D Printer.

Initally primed using a couple of layers of "Vallejo" Stormy Blue and shaded with "Citadel" Nuln Oil, all of the figure's boots, body armour, firearm and visor were later base-coated with Abaddon Black. The policeman's footwear and protective plates were then dry-brushed with "Vallejo" Heavy Charcoal and shaded with a splash of "Citadel" Nuln Oil.

"They have been attacking the Human Resistance for 600 years."

So as to add some colour to the distinctly dark-looking model, I applied a combination of "Vallejo" Gunmetal and "Citadel" Nuln Oil to the operative's shotgun and parts of his helmet. In addition, I used some "Vallejo" Heavy Sienna and "Citadel" Agrax Earthshade on his belt, as well as "Vallejo" Heavy Red and "Citadel" Carroburg Crimson on two large cartridges positioned at the back of the lawman's belt.

To be honest this miniature has been close to being binned a number of times as I've really struggled to find a palette I liked for him. At one point I had actually 'picked out' a number of the model's armour plates in "Vallejo" Gunmetal, "Citadel" Nuln Oil and the Contrast paint Skeleton Horde. But I didn't think this looked right so eventually went with the tried and tested dark blue/black uniform worn by the majority of modern-day Police specialist riot teams.

"Big Mr Tong" WIPs - Three Village Militia primed in "Citadel" Abaddon Black

Alongside the first of several planned Corporate Security Force operatives by "Anvil Industry" I have also completed another 28mm scale metal SpyBot by "Crooked Dice Game Design Studio". This tentacled mechanoid can be bought individually as SKU: MINI 649 or as part of the four-figure deal - DEAL 193. The single-cast model was predominantly pigmented using "Vallejo" Heavy Grey, "Citadel" Biel-Tan Green, "Vallejo" Gunmetal, "Citadel" Agrax Earthshade and "Mig Productions" Extreme Rust Wash so as to tie them in with my previously painted automatons.

Lastly, I've been busy printing and prepping many of the "Big Mr Tong". miniatures I want to get tabletop ready during the forthcoming Thirteenth Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge (AHPC). As I plan on ignoring all the event's side-quests this time around, I plan to work on several of the prolific sculptor's ten-figure ranges, including a wonderful troop of Village Militia who remind me of Terry Pratchett's Ankh-Morpork City Watch...

I really like the Enforcer, the way you've painted him makes him look very good at enforcing things :-) Staying away from silver was the best choice as he'd have looked like some futuristic knight in plate metal colours. The Spybot is up to the usual excellent standard, and again the metallic green with the rust effect looks so good.

I can see what you mean about the Village Militia resembling the City Watch! Looking forward to seeing them painted up.

Cheers Matt. Anvil have quite an extensive range of Corporate Security Force operatives, so now I've settled upon a colour scheme I'm hoping to get a fair few of them done over the coming weeks.

The Ankh-Morpork City Watch vibe might encourage me to add some other fantasy figures to my militia in the future. 😉

I think going with the colour scheme you did on the enforcer was a good call as all those plates in metal could have made him look like a knight with a gun I suspect. Another great spy droid: I love your rusty/dirty metal effect.

Those city guards look great. It's amazing the variety of these 3d prints.

Thanks Undercoat. I'm pleased I experimented as I did with the metallics and "Citadel" Skeleton Horde. But obviously, that was time wasted in some respects, and I probably could have painted another two enforcers during that time spent.

Still, I know what I need to paint on them now, so hopefully I can crack on. LOL!! I do have a bit of a printing/painting log-jam currently. 😉

There's two sets of Village Militia, plus a Captain, so twenty-one figures in total - though I'll only be printing the ones I like (no kneeling down minis here!!!). Should be a lot of fun with all the rusty metallics come the AHPC.

Nice work on the enforcer, and another very nice Spybot, I do like how you do these!

Those village militia are rather nice too, have you got a specific purpose in mind for them or are they a "I just fancy painting them" diversion (I have a lot of those! 😁)

Cheers Roger.

Cheers Roger. I think now I've settled upon the Enforcer's paint scheme I'll be pushing out quite a few of them in the future - especially as I have them on bikes too etc.

I've got a couple of campaigns in mind for next year. One will be a big sci-fi mash-up using Big Mr Tong's stuff - so think Black Hole Sentry Robots vs Cybermen vs Cylons vs Daleks vs Sardaukar, and another one featuring fantasy forces - so City Watch vs Jason/Argonauts vs Children of the Hydra's Teeth vs Roman skeletons. All of these have already been printed out, I just need to base and prime them ready for the AHPC. LOL!!!

Excellent work on the enforcer, and Spybot Simon, the black and blue is tried and tested for enforcement so can see why you went with that in the end.

Is that face plates or actual faces on the militia ? lots more prep work ready for the start of the challenge.

Thanks Dave. The Gunmetal and Skeleton Horde combo just didn't look right, and I really need to get cracking on these as the range has expanded enormously over the past three months on Patreon - I have bikers, mutant hordes, massive mutants, centaur mutants, troopers, war machines... the list just goes on and on, LOL!!! Be nice to get a few printed & painted for a game over Christmas.
